Access: When you copy data from an Access table to an Excel worksheet, you can unintentionally truncate field entries if you're not careful. To avoid doing so, you should use the Paste Special command instead of pressing Ctrl-V. First, select all the records in the Access table by clicking the table selector (the gray square at the top left corner of the table), then press Ctrl-C. Select the top left Excel cell of the range to which you want to copy the records. At this point, don't press Ctrl-V to paste the data as you normally would. Instead, pull down the Edit menu and choose the Paste Special command. If you use the regular Paste command or Ctrl-V, Excel truncates the data that's too long for the cell's current width.
