President's Corner By Alan Mildwurm, DVPC Snow in July? I hope not. Actually I have had several conversations with Corel and I think they WILL be at our July meeting. Of course, while I don't expect snow, I can't predict the likelihood of: floods, earthquakes, pestilence, comet/asteroid/Mir space station impact, volcanic eruption, plague, airport delays or Klingon attack. Assuming the earth remains in a stable orbit, we should be on. Also presenting is Syntran with their two cool devices:FaxPrint2 and CamPrint. These devices are reasonably priced and fit a useful niche. Last month Ron and I (and a few other notables, hangers-on, and assorted personages) attended the roll out of Microsoft Office 2000 at the new Metreon in San Francisco. The Metreon was not even officially open. Workmen were scrambling around installing doors, pouring cement, and attending to other finishing touches to this new entertainment complex at Fourth and Mission. The Metreon is very cool.
