Meeting Date: 2/13/2002   Time: 7:00 pm   Location: Alan Mildwurm’s house

Two months in a row now I have managed to show up, at the right time and on the right day, for the Board meeting. A few others did, too, so we met.

We eased into the meeting by performing an autopsy on a machine that Alan’s partner had bought. At first glance it seemed perfectly normal. Then one noticed a number of receptacles for various cables and gadgets (USB, Firewire, audio, etc.) on the front of the machine. And then, when you turned it around and looked at the back, it really got weird. The same types of receptacles as were on the front, plus more, were on the back.

To cap it off, there was a cable that looked like a three inch paint brush plugged into the back that split off into six or seven individual cables, all a foot long, and again for USB, firewire, audio, joy stick, etc. An unusual machine, to say the least.

The insides were more normal, however, and thus a little disappointing to Ron, Alan and Nick, who led the inspection.
