Most of us have heard the old saying “April Showers bring May Flowers” (which, of course, led to the old joke, “What do May Flowers bring? …Pilgrims!). This saying is a bit confusing to the kids in this area due to our being in a Mediterranean climate which brings winter rains and golden hills. Computer rainfall projections and high-tech water delivery/conservation systems help see to it that we limit the number of droughts we have to live through, but there is still no escaping that by this time each year we have gotten most of the rain that will be coming our way. So, get a cool glass of water (with ice and lemon of course) and try to solve this month’s puzzle.

PS... due to requests by several members, the answers to the current month’s puzzle are provided on line by going to www.dvpc.org/solution.html.
