Well, last month I started out the Board Minutes saying “Two months in a row now I have managed to show up at the right time and on the right day for the Board meeting.” Big mistake. That put a jinx on me, and I missed the March Board meeting. Of course, I had a good excuse this time. I took a four day weekend, with Monday and Tuesday off. So when I rolled out of be Wednesday morning and headed for the office, I was pretty clueless as to which day of the week it was. Extended weekends always take me another four or five days to get back on schedule. I have a good sense of direction. I can drive around in a new area on a cloudy day and pretty much tell within 10-15 degrees which way is north. I can roam the corridors of a strange building and know I’m facing east or south. But change my week from five-plus-two to four-plus-three or some other combination and I’m lost in time for a few days. I was checking my email at home Wednesday night when it hit me.
