Meeting Date: 9/11/01 Time: 7:00 pm Location: Alan Mildwurm’s house As is becoming the usual rather than the occasional, Monday, in a brief flurry of email, the date of the Board meeting was discussed and changed to Tuesday, September 11. By Tuesday the world had changed, not to mention the New York skyline. But I had said I would be at Alan’s for the meeting that night, and since no one told me otherwise I was there. I had woken up that morning in time to watch the World Trade Center towers slowly fall to the ground one after the other. I was not happy going to work, but after another hour the facts on TV were still rather sparse and repetitive, so off I went. I heard bits and pieces of the news throughout the day, but saw no more TV. The internet provided sporadic updates and images. By evening I was sorely tempted to drive past Alan’s house and go straight home to catch up on events, but I didn’t. I found it difficult to concentrate on the business at hand, so my notes are somewhat brief and these minutes are brief, too. New Business: Survey: I managed to remember to compile the results of the survey from the general meeting where we asked the Members what they would like to see at those meetings.
