DVPC Board Meeting Minutes   by Nick Chase, DVPC, AD-HOC Secretary

Meeting Date: April 11, 2001 Time: 7:00 p.m. Location: Alan Mildwurm's house
Bank Account: $1,200 (approximately)
New Business:
Elections
: Elections are over and despite a cry for a recount by Alan who was hoping to lose, it looks like we have a new Board. Actually, we pretty much have the old Board, plus the welcome addition of Ted Armstrong. (Wait till he finds out that as a Board member he is no longer eligible to win any raffle prizes! Ted….Come back, Ted! I'm kidding!)
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my loyal supporters for their continued support over the years. I believe it was 1993 that I first won election to this august body. With a record of nine consecutive years serving, I think it's safe to say that I must be doing something right in your eyes. Of course, that "something right" is probably that I don't run screaming from the building when I'm nominated, but what the heck…
May Meeting: Next Meeting: Bill Gates and Steve Jobs wanted to mud-wrestle each other at our next meeting with the loser giving DVPC $1,000,000 but after thinking it over carefully your Board decided that you would probably rather have us put on a show. Well, your wish is our command! Check out Alan's article for more details.
Membership: This topic is probably second only to the video projector in terms of frequency. This week we discussed publicity, new and good ideas were put forth. Peggy showed us the final-final brochure for approval and I think we approved it. At least, I'm pretty certain no one said anything bad about it.
Tip of the Day: For several months I have been having a problem with email attachments that I send to certain people. The problem is that although the email size indicates the attachment is there, they can not see it or open it. I am using Outlook 2000. I can send the email and attachment to myself at the office and forward it from the office with no problems to those same people.
I mentioned it to Ron and, as I've come to expect, he knew the cause and the solution.
