Recommendation:

  1. When ever you buy a product with a rebate keep copies of everything you send out and , most importantly, keep an abeyance data base to remind you that you have a rebate coming and when it becomes past due.
  2. As soon as it becomes past due call any "800" number provided and raise hell. Push the person you talk to for a commitment. Record this information and reset your abeyance file.
  3. If you don't get your rebate by the promised date you got in tip number "2" above, then you need to start writing letters to the company CEO and to the Better Business Bureau that covers the area where the company's offices are located.
  4. Last and most important -- keep your fingers crossed. You might, just might, actually get your rebate.
I also recommend that you write a short article for Diablo Blue alerting other club members as to who the bad actors in the Great Rebate Scam are.
