DVPC Board Meeting Minutes   by Nick Chase, DVPC, AD-HOC Secretary

Meeting Date: March 7, 2001 Time: 7:00 p.m. Location: Alan Mildwurm's house
Bank Account: $1,200 (approximately)
New Business:
Video Projector: Two weeks ago a flurry of emails erupted as we tried to locate the projector. Since it gets passed around a bit for various SIGs to use, tracking it can sometimes be problematic. I became suspicious, however, when I noticed Charlie was included in the emails. Since he is not a SIG leader, I began to see a sinister plot unfolding. I joined the thread and voiced my suspicions: that this was a trick on the part of Charlie and Ron. I theorized they had hidden the projector, hoping to persuade the rest of us to buy a new one. As soon as I sent that email off, however, someone [it was Ron. Ed.] suggested that Ted might have it for his SIG meeting, and that turned out to be the case. Or so Ron said. The work is not onerous (if it were, would we be doing it?) and the rewards are great: pizza and decadent desserts once a month in the company of some real cool people, just to name the first benefit that comes to mind. In fact, Nick is thinking of running for
two offices so he can eat twice as much at the meetings. And, being able to say that you are a member of the Board of Directors of the Diablo Valley PC User's Group looks really cool on your resume. Contact one of the current Board members if you are interested.
Membership: Peggy presented a revised and cleaned up brochure for our review and discussion. I nit-picked the verbiage and Charlie gave a dissertation on color printing. Then we told Peggy to do whatever she wants. Hopefully we will have a supply to give to Members at the
