Searching the contents of files in WordPerfect® 9
In WordPerfect 9, you can search the contents of files for specific information. This feature is useful when you want to find information but do not know in which file it is stored.
To search the contents of files:
o Click File, Open.
o Click the Advanced button.
o If the Advanced Find dialog box displays the text string: Filename contains "*.*", double-click the text string to display a form with list boxes.
o Click the list box with Filename selected and choose Content.
o In the box that contains "*.*", type the information for which you want to search.
o Click the Find Now button.
PRODUCT SPECIALIST SPOTLIGHT
Did you ever want to know who was going to give your group a Corel presentation? This new column will provide you with a background on Corel Corporation's Product Specialist team. We will be highlighting one Product Specialist per issue.
In this issue, we spotlight Laura McElwain, Corel's User Group Programs Manager.
Meet Laura McElwain, the brains behind Corel's User Group Program. Laura has held a couple of different posts here at Corel. She first joined Corel in April 1999 as a Quality Assurance Specialist, specifically doing Y2K testing. She came over to join the Product Specialist Team in March 2000 , and was recently promoted to User Group Programs Manager.
Favorite Corel Product: Laura is a big fan of WordPerfect 9 because it is so easy to use. The Reveal Codes features were particularly handy in the creation of this newsletter.
Best/ Worst Road Experience: Laura enjoyed her recent drive down the 401 with the lovely and talented Graphics Product Specialist, Mona Jennings. They visited the Quinte Macintosh Users Group Society in Belleville, ON. Says Laura, "The group was so friendly and receptive. They were really appreciative of our visit."
Must Have Item on the Road: Toothbrush.
Hobbies/Interests: When not busy with her User Groups, Laura plays soccer, and generally likes to exercise a lot! When she is standing still, she likes to read a good suspense novel or to watch a really intense thriller.
