Meeting Date: 6/7/2000 Time: 7:00 pm Location: Alan Mildwurm's house Bank Account: $2,000 (approximately) We started late and slow this month. First there was a grief recap of Microsoft's appeal options. Then the Treasurer's dad reported a bank balance of $1692.87 with about $300 pending deposit. This abundance of course precipitated a discussion of video projectors, Ron filling in for Charlie who was en route from down south. As usual, Ron had a fistful of the latest catalogues and ads. There was a blessedly brief discussion of the shortcomings of our current machine (has problems with XGA and the occasional laptop), and I hate to admit it, but I was beginning to agree with Ron. I was rescued from moral collapse by someone saying "Charlie's just driving up!" (Charlie lives across the street from Alan.) Ron grabbed his catalogues and ran out the door crying "Charlie! Charlie!" and I suddenly realized that DVPC was in great danger: Should Ron return with Charlie, who knows what they might convince the rest of us to buy? I was easing myself out of my seat, ostensibly to get a drink, but in reality to sneak over and lock both Ron and Charlie out, when Ron came back in alone.
