cludes compression software, file organization and recovery, and security. (Their Mac line also includes uninstallers and developer's tools). I think that if you are interested in useful utilities, you need to be at our February meeting!! In March (assuming we survive the Y2K leap year problem -- though I thought that we were done with Y2K -- not as long as Tom has all that bottled water) we will have a Networking Night. Our Board members will (attempt) to network at least two computers. We will install the NICs (network interface cards), configure the software, and demonstrate a network -- all without using a safety net (sorry). In April, Microsoft will roll out WINDOWS 2000 for us. That should be a informative and fun meeting. Our new Genealogy and Linux SIGs are well under way. It was interesting to see the kind of enthusiasm among those jamming the Linux pavilion at Comdex. As always, if there's a SIG you would like to be involved in but DVPC doesn't have it, check with Nick Chase at our meeting and find out how you can start it! See you in February!
