February 3, 2000 Meeting Announcement
Aladdin Systems

Aladdin Systems will be at our February 3, 2000 DVPC meeting. They are best known for their Mac products, especially their StuffIt® data compression programs. Recently they have been expanding their offerings to support PCs running Windows. We should see DragZip for Windows, which is much more than a file compression/expansion program. DragZip helps reduce the clutter of your Windows desktop by organizing your icons into tabbed folders. We'll also see DropZip 5.0, the Windows compression utility that offers both Zip and StuffIt compression. StuffIt compresses files up to 20% smaller than Zip. DropZip 5.0 for Windows also includes Expander 5.0 for Windows, which gives you access to virtually any file format you find on the Web.
DVPC meetings are held in the lobby conference room in Building B at the Bank of America Technology Center office complex in Concord, located near the northeast corner of Clayton Road at Galindo (see the Map to Monthly Meetings on
page 15). Please use the main entrance of the building, which is in the center of the front of the building that faces Clayton road.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. We will have the next installment of

www.aladdinsys.com), makers of a number of very useful utilities in both the Mac and Windows arenas. Their STUFFIT technology will compress files even smaller than Zip files! Their product line in

You Asked for It!

We've been asked to make Diablo Blue available in Adobe Acrobat format, so it can be read as a unit. Well, here it is folks! It's a huge file to download (as PDF files often are), 643K, but if you have the bandwidth, or the time, go for it! You'll need Adobe Acrobat, and/or the Acrobat plug-in for your browser, to be able to read this PDF document file.

Ready? Click HERE for this month's download.
