Handyman Tips: This month's warm-up topic was Home Repairs. Ron and I arrived on time, but the rest of the team ran a little late. While waiting for a quorum to appear we discussed such far-ranging topics as the life expectancy of refrigerators, home construction, running your own network cable and flooring. Eventually the pizza and the rest of the board arrived and we got down to business.
Old Business:
Network: Those members hardy enough to brave the torrential downpour the day of the general meeting in March really enjoyed the presentation on how to network your computers. Ron Ogg, Mark Allen and Craig Peterson, the more daring members of the Board, showed us how easy it is to connect two machines these days. Actually, by the end of the evening they had four machines networked. They also managed to demonstrate just about everything that can go wrong, and how to overcome those irritating problems. Our also-fearless president was regrettably unable to participate and share in the frustration and the glory.
